How to clear an absence: 

You only have 3 days to clear an absence until it rolls truant.

To clear an absence the parent/guardian can 

1. Call Mrs. Meddles at 775-392-1475
2. Email Mrs. Meddles at jmeddles@dcsd.k12.nv.us
3. Send the student with a note; signed by the parent/guardian

In Person Learners/Hybrid who need to stay home:

1. Complete the Distance learner Attendance Form + complete 2 tasks on Edmentum 

2. Email Mrs. Meddles at jmeddles@dcsd.k12.nv.us that you are working from home today so we can count your attendance.

Distance Learner Attendance Form must be completed every day. In order to be marked present, you must complete this form by 10 AM each day and complete two tasks during the school day. Failure to submit this Distance Learner Attendance form by 10 AM and making progress in your courses may result in you being marked absent for the day. NOTE: Progress on Edmentum is checked by 2:30PM. If you have any questions regarding your attendance, please call Mrs. Meddles at 775-392-1475. If you have extenuating circumstances these arrangements must be made prior to the date needed with Mrs. Meddles.
